Do you not understand the difference in value created by one year of term versus six years of term? Never mind the fact that Kuemper isn't good enough to be the number one goalie on a team which has Gibson on it.

You are acting like Gibson is an elite goalie currenly. He has fallen off from 3 years ago end of story. With that value yall are suggesting youre trading for what he once was not what he is now. hes had a .904 & .903 over the last 2 seasons. You cant say its because the teams bad either because in 2019 when they still sucked he had a .917.

I'm not assuming that Gibson is an elite goalie now; I'm assuming that for purposes of this particular discussion, Kuemper is no better. With that assumption, a guy with six years of term is worth more than a guy with one year of term, so your contention that Gibson's return should be the same as Kuemper's is patently erroneous.
