As a Hawks fan, I can't wait to take one of the last in the league and have Columbus have two picks in the top five and get two absolutely amazing players. Bowman just has a way of making bad trades and having them blow up in his face in literally the worst possible way. I don't think they will though.

Chicago isn't going to be one the worst teams, they were close to making the playoffs without Toews & Dach, god awful defense, and no starting goalie. Chicago has improved the most than any team in the league

If this team loses Kane in any capacity then they are done, they basically showed this last season when Kane took a nosedive in production the team fell out of the playoffs. They made a lot of moves, yes, but I would describe most of those moves as Gambles, ie Seth Jones, MAF. If they suck and we have another unlucky season with injuries then we are going to be one of the worst teams. My guess is that CBJ ends up with the 13th pick in the draft this year.

I said that I don't think they will, cause they did improve with a lot of gambles. If the coach is smart, he'll stick Jones on the second pair to get the most out of him, and don't go all in on Fleury as the starter.

I just know that anything risky that Bowman does has a way of blowing up. So trading away a first in a stacked draft class could be a seriously big problem.

All fair points. Central is a tough division so it’s a safe assumption that Chicago will finish 4-5 or maybe even 6.
My biggest question is if it’s almost certain you will finish there, why on earth did he trade for Jones.
Either be a contender or don’t.
He made good trades, but it’s not enough in my opinion. They don’t have anywhere close t enough depth.
