Tampa has a better chance of winning the Cup with Cirelli, Foote and ABB than one Eichel. A very iffy cap situation next season with Eichel back. Maybe you lose Point as a UFA.

To pull this off they would have to get rid of Stamkos at the end of the season

Cirelli is the only decent piece in the deal, Buffalo would easily decline this offer. Eichel's cap hit isn't sustainable for Tampa in the long run. Dealing Cirelli and adding Eichel already puts Tampa $5,200,000 over the cap heading into next summer.

Point has already been extended for 8 x $9,500,000. Which would make Tampa's cap situation even worse adding Jack Eichel. It's just not sustainable long term.

Eh just buyout McDonagh then

He'll be pretty old then

His buyout is decently favourable

I'd say Tampa is happy with what Cirelli brings. Trading for Eichel coming off disk replacement would be an unnecessary expense and risk.
