Description
As it stands, Seattle has 26 players on their active squad. Gourde is going to go on IR, so make it 25. Regardless, unless a trade is made, Seattle will have to waive 2 of these guys.
If we need to narrow it down, I would think the players are:
Sheahan, Blackwell, Bastian, Geekie, Borgen, Lauzon, Cholowski
To me, Geekie and Cholowski should definitely be staying no matter what.
I feel like they will waive one F and one D.
The forward decision would be between Sheahan and Blackwell and the defensive decision would be between Lauzon and Borgen.
If you are Seattle, which 2 players do you waive to complete your 23-man roster?

And whichever player Seattle does waive is most likely the next Buffalo Sabre, unless it’s Borgen because he already was one. They’ll still take him back though.

Lauzon should be of interest and they should trade him before putting him on waivers, I think he might get a 2nd or more.

Somebody like Philly, which has a solid starting 6 and some good prospects in the AHL, might like a RD/LD 7th like Lauzon.

I think Lauzon and Cholowski are the odd ones out. Borgen has looked good and they need more RD.

Cant see him pulling a 2nd, but like a 4th or 5th rounder could work.

I would think a 4th or 5th rounder... maybe a 3rd.

The Canucks could probably use him for that price.
