Well if they want him to stay they first have to allow him to get healthy first. And even if they did allow him to get his surgery, Eichel would do everything in his power to try and force his way out of this hellhole.

He is refusing to get the bone fusion surgery in favor of disc replacement. Which is the smart thing to do for him personally. But as it stands now, the Sabres organization doesn't want him to get the disc replacement surgery. And if they are absolutely set on that, there is no way he will play for Buffalo again.
