Kiviranta will be on the opening night roster, along with Peterson & possibly Hakanpaa.

Long story short, Oskar Back, Tanner Kero, and Jake Oettinger were all left on the opening night roster for cap purposes. Dallas had to be under the cap & as close to $0 in cap space as possible in order to maximize the cap relief they will get by putting Bishop on LTIR. Now that the league year has begun, Dallas can put Bishop on LTIR & use those extra cap savings to add guys like Kiviranta and Peterson to the roster. There's a lot more in depth cap gymnastics description that I could go into, but it gets a bit complicated.
