Explanation: Faber would instantly be the Wild’s #1 D prospect, and he is right handed, so either Dumba could be moved, if needed for cap purposes, or Addison can be used as an asset to acquire a different needed piece. My point is, I think Faber would be the Wild’s #1 RHD in 3-4 years and he would be cheap for a few of those years.

Get Faber (not happening) and dump Spurgeon somewhere for whatever. Cap gets a lot easier to work with.

Explanation:

Brock is 19

His NHL career will be from 22-35

Half the D in their lineup will be ufa/depth/retired

Lineups fluctuate for goofs sakes it's not a forcefield

Goligoski is a 36 y/o UFA he and brock won't overlap

It's bizarre when people see a lineup as 100% fixed

Spurgeon has a very high hockey IQ, decent in the o-zone, an adv stats darling, and will get 35p/yr.

He's getting old. He can't stay healthy. He's not worth his cap hit and contract length. It makes him bad cap on a team that can't afford to have bad cap. He has a full Full NMC/NTC until the 24-25 season.
