Maaaaybe Colorado considers that. The rest of the trades are pipe dreams. The Letang signing is hilarious.

None of this is remotely realistic.
      - Byron is a cap dump - you will need to SEND picks with him to move him.
      - Weber will not retire, it would have an INSANE amount of cap recapture. At minimum, they would trade him back to Nashville and Nashville would pay assets so THEY can LTIR him and avoid the cap recapture. But he will not retire.
      - Top pairing, young, mobile defenseman don't grow on trees. The price for Chychrun is astronomical and that is not it.
      - The Armia trade is about the only one that doesn't seem that far off, but the destination is wrong. They're not taking on his cap hit.

I don't think (but I'm happy to be corrected) that Montreal gets hit much by the cap recapture penalty. I thought it was mostly Nashville. So Montreal may not particularly care

Right, I should have been clearer. They would simply call up Nashville and say "hey, he's gonna retire, give us some picks so that doesn't happen", then Nashville would trade for him so THEY could LTIR him and not get crushed with recapture.

      That makes sense.
