So Savard took $3.5 million as a discount to go to Montréal… Letang would be taking the biggest hometown discount of the salary cap era here. Not even close.

Martinez just got 5.25 per on a 3 year deal at 34 years old, Letang is just a bit older and for sure merits more. On a 2 year like this I don't see how he comes in anywhere under 6 mil without very specific personal reasons for a discount, which I'd think would be most likely staying in Pitt.

No If the pick is in the top 10 then the Yotes get the later pick it it is outside the top 10 then they get the earlier pick.
