WJC Team Canada

Created by: Duggysdanglers
Team: 2021-22 Custom Team
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 26, 2021
Published: Oct. 26, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This will be a tough team to play against. Even if Byfield stays with the Kings. I really hope Mason McTavish gets to play. I think Anaheim should send him back to the OHL even if he absolutely owns the League.

So who makes the team and who does not??

I hadn't clued in that I probably get to see a WJC with Wright and Bedard. Even more stoked for it now.

I could see Dylan Holloway here if he's recovered from his injury

Zachary L’Heureux will be a huge pain in the ass as well. I really like Jake Neighbours too.

It’ll be epic. In 2008, we had both Stamkos and Tavares on that team.

It’s too bad that’s he’s too old to play at the WJC. Sorry. He’s definitely a solid talent. I’m really looking forward to seeing him play for the Oilers eventually.

I don't think sending McTavish to this tournament if he's owning the NHL would be in anyway a good idea...

Ohhh ok I was gonna say lol, I wish it was 20 and under bc he'd be insane on this team. He will most likely be getting some real looks to make the nhl later this year or next year. He'll probably get 6 games this year probably at the close of the regular szn. Dude was going off before his injury

He has played 3 games and has 1 G, 1 A and is a +1. He can definitely play in the NHL but I’d want him to thrive rather than survive. He’s got enormous potential and he should go back to OHL. I’d say the AHL but he has to go to junior as per that agreement. It’ll help build boat loads of confidence being a force at the WJC.

No, OHL would be worse for his growth right now, it's NHL or busy when they are ready. I think that OHL is a good league but McTavish would destroy is and their wouldn't be any physical growth just confidence growth which .67 PPG is confidence to me.

It’s only been 3 games for him. Lots of 18 year olds light up in the early part of the season and then fall off once the vets get going. If they could send him back to Europe to play that would be solid. I don’t like it when teams put young players like that straight into the NHL.
Regardless, he should be made available for the WJC so he can maybe get a Gold. It’s great on the resume.

I went to a few games back in 2012 when it was split between Edmonton/Calgary. Looking back there were a lot of good names but nobody generational. In hindsight that 2012 first round was super weak which contributed. This year Edmonton gets to host Canada in the round robin and the medal games so should get more opportunity to see the top players although Red Deer probably has more of the top teams worth seeing (USA Russia Sweden) whereas Edmonton has Canada/FInland for contenders.

The guy might not be as spectacular as Perfetti I see him as the second coming of Shea Weber… Who was arguably one of the best leader in the last 20 years.
