Guhle is more NHL ready than Norlinder.
McNiven isn’t an NHL goalie.
The 9 games mean nothing for Harris because he’s not under 20, so he makes the team or he doesn’t.

The Toffoli trade makes no sense. We have so much cap space, and he’s much more valuable to the team than a late 1st. Sure the 21-22 season might be a write-off, but the habs need to try to get back into contention in 22-23, especially since Carey and Petry aren’t getting any younger and we don’t have any viable replacements for them.

1. Norlinder is clearly ready, you can tell by how he played in the SHL
2. Guhle may be ready but I would rather not rush him
3.Harris played in college so if he signs he can either play in montreal or Laval. If he’s not ready play him in Laval
4. I agree Toffoli is valuable but we have to play the rookies otherwise they won’t develop. We can’t play Poehling in Laval forever
5. Give Mcniven a chance

Lehkonen is a RFA so sign him 2-3 years, he will play on the 3rd line in 2023-2024 when Drouin/Byron contract expired and RHP can play 4LW

Allen is worth more IMO

Toffoli is worth more

Harris will sign 2 years not 3

McNiven is sooo bad he’ll never be a NHLer (No technic
, he is Lindgren 2.0)

Keep Armia another year and leave Ylönen in Laval

Lecky is good but I feel Perrault has taken his spot. Forgot to trade him tbh
Allen is a fringe starter so he’s not worth a ton
Toffoli’s value is gonna drop since he’s not having a good year
Harris I’m pretty sure has to sign an ELC
Give Mcniven a chance

I’m going off of how Norlinder looked in rookie and training camp, which is the most recent place we’ve seen him play. He was bad defensively even compared to 18 year old rookies drafted in the 4th and 5th rounds. He might get an NHL spot next year if he takes a big step, but Guhle is a lot better right now. And why are you willing to rush Norlinder but not Guhle?

Poehling and Toffoli aren’t fighting for anything. One is a goal-scoring winger who plays in the top 6/9 and the other is a 4th line C with a ceiling of a 3C. Ylönen isn’t overdue by any means, and would benefit with more time with the Rocket. In this day and age it’s an absolute crime to purposely not spend to the cap.

McNiven has had 5 years of chances. Sure he’s a decent AHL goalie, but we need a good backup and McNiven is no better than Montembeault is, if not worse. Carey can’t play 75 games.

If the Blues trade Tarasenko, I'm sure they can do much better than Armia. I mean, he's a decent player, but not any replacement for a top level sniper.

Perreault can be 13th forward or 4C, but he is not better than Lehky
Allen at 4.1M cost a 3rd round pick, he played very good in MTL and now he is making 2.85M. I think he could fetch a 2nd round pick
Harris will sign is ELC on a 2 years deal, like Caufield Poehling did

norlinder is close to ready, ghule is not but will be soon, both will be better than romanov
Mcniven is noet an nhl goalie but he is better than the garbage we picked up of waivers that is in the nhl now backing up allen

Well obviously. But Taresenko wants out which means they have cap. That’s what I meant by that
