Why would the Kings move on from Akil Thomas, he was a steal where they got him and he's almost NHL ready?

Fabbri by himself returns a 2nd round pick, No freaking way are we adding a 4th and 7th round pick on top of him. Especially for a pick that's still 2 years away. No freaking way Yzerman makes this trade.

Congrats on the first post! Now for the CapFriendly trademarked harsh criticism.

Firstly, why so many mid-round picks and middling prospects? It feels like regardless of the value associated there isn’t much progress being made with many of these trades.
The two trades that stand out to me are the Fabbri trade and the Tanev trade. With Fabbri, I think a second is pretty decent value for him, and I don’t see why a fourth and a seventh have to come back with him. The Tanev trade makes no sense for Seattle, Tanev is lighting it up for them right now and while Kalynuk is a good player it just doesn’t make sense to do a one-for-one with him and Tanev.

Just FYI: Lehtonen already signed a four-year deal with SKA.
