Why would you trade away Tkachuk? He would have been great in a line with Olofsson frown

Because Tkachuk doesn’t seem like a guy that would stick in Buffalo and thru a rebuild . That’s just what I think , I hope I’m wrong .

Honestly I dont think the rebuild is going to take as much time as people think. They are already playing well and even though I defitnedly dont expect them to make the playoffs, I think that with the pieces on the Eichel trade and some great drafting and signings this could turn around in a season or two.

If they get a top 3 pick this year and next , they’ll be done after that

Isn't the rebuild like 20 years and counting?

Sorry. I struggle with not picking low hanging fruit.

I think tkachuk flipped to Ottawa makes the most sense for BUF and OTT. Tell me it wouldn’t be great to put the brothers together.

Plus Buffalo just gets even more of a haul. What do you think Ottawa would be willing to give?

Def not Pinto, Sanderson or the 2022 1st. All other prospects and 2023 1st are available

I agree with this. The good thing about the Tkachuks is also the bad thing about the Tkachuks. They seem to be wildly competitive and won't be happy in a rebuild for very long.

Brady is overpaid but at least Batherson being underpaid makes up for it. Brady Tkachuk is the 3rd best player on his line now.

So I’m assuming you’d be more interesting in like Grieg + another prospect and 2023 1st lottery protected

Sounds fair to me. Man does Buffalo ever come away with a haul with that. This is all speculation as to what CGY would give but:

Eichel

For

Former 1st (Zary, Coronato)
2 prospects (Heineman, Hucks, Pelletier, Phillips)
2022 1st
Greig
JBD/Brann
2023 1st

Sharangovich quickly became a fan favourite last year and this years draft is sweet but I would do that from NJ perspective, Tkachuk would be a fantastic add.
