The thing is, Ritchie is not even supposed to be this bad. But the fact that he wins zero puck battles and never drives the net despite that being his speciality is a really big concern.

Also, Arizona isn't interested in Ritchie. No one in the league is. Throwing in a 3rd round pick and Denis Malgin isn't going to get you an upgrade.

Malgin has no NHL value and even the third rounder isn't that significant . I'm not a big fan of Crouse, but less of a fan of Ritchie. Arizona say no.

This is a very fair proposal and I can't see why Arizona wouldn't take it. Ritchie sucks and never should have been signed as you alluded too (that was a real head scratcher by Dubas when it happened, same with Marazek for 3 years). Zona gets a pick to take on a player/cannon fodder and another warm body.

Ppl will try to tell you they wont do it but from their perspective would they rather the pick or spend that scrilla in FA and a most likely equally usless player and not get a pick? I think they'd rather the pick.
