Then can't see Avs being interested. Poehling is miles below Caufield in terms of value.

I agree with that. Plus I don't think Avs are looking for a prospect either. Maybe Drouin for Girard? but that also doesn't make too much sense because they aren't shedding the salary they want

I think they want a young NHL ready player who's running on ELC, they want to clear some cap space. The likes of Caufield or Vilardi for instance are the best in this regard.

Personally speaking I'm not a fan of Drouin. Imo Girard's much better than Drouin is, both in terms of level and value.
