I will take the cap hell for 2 cups and a 3rd being a real possibility. Worst case if we cant sign all three of Cernak, Sergachev and Cirelli, Sergy will be an RFA and we can send him to the sun, depending on asking price of course.


Rangers with the Kreider and Trouba contracts will be rough. Panarin, Zib and Fox are worth every penny. But you can’t have 5-6 massive contracts

Gorton needs to canvass hard on all the other GMs and move the Price contract &/or Weber (retire)...?

Weber is on LTIR so we can use that dead cap to our advantage. No point in moving that contract

We aren’t moving Price unless we get good value back and that’s not happening, no idea why we’d move Weber unless it’s to Nashville ( because they get hit by a recapture if Weber retires )

Why do people think Drouin is a cap dump, he isn’t, he’s a solid top 6 winger

Drouin is awful. He's definitely a cap dump. He's just French and went through all of that mental health issues so he's protected.

Kempny is on the last year of his deal anyways. They can't afford to re-sign Schultz so it would probably make more sense to move Schultz for a pick and go with Carlson, Jensen, TVR on the right and Fehervary, Orlov, Cholowski/Kempny on the left or flip the pick to the Islanders and bring Chara back. Hagelin at 50% retention wouldn't be a bad contract ($1.38 Million) for a team to acquire for 1 year. He still has wheels and can kill penalties effectively. Eller could/should be moved so they can utilize the value of the entry level contracts next year.

overpaid and plays an expendable position for a habs team that is already against the cap for next season.
