2) Nylander trade won’t happen. Better trading Mantha for someone else. (Leaf fans are a lot to handle on this site)

I could see a trade like this happening for the Leafs if they miss the playoffs/lose in the 1st round. People on here like to trade Marner but his cap hit is unmoveable. If one of the core 4 leaves, its probably Nylander.

I don't think his contracts really unmovable but it would be really hard to move, I can't see Nylander being traded unless he asks for a huge extension when he's eligible

I would prefer to have TVR move back to RD and play Alexeyev on LD but I wouldn't complain too much with Subban if it was a 1 year D and they don't overuse him.

Eller brings more value than a 4th rounder, and GMBM would have to be insane to accept that.

Way overpaying for Fischer, I would much rather keep a Middle 6 potential center in Protas, a 2nd rounder, and find another way to get rid of Sheary if necessary.

I can't see Vanecek getting that contract this year. I don't think he has quite earned the starter role yet, and I see him getting a 1 year bridge this offseason. However, that is a decent contract and about what I would expect when he does get his big payday.

If Alexeyev is ready then yes I agree they shouldn’t sign Subban but it he isn’t ready Subban would be a great signing at that price but I could see them going 1 year instead of 2

Imo Subban isn’t really a responsible defender. I’m not really high on him and I don’t think he’s a good fit with Washington. I think our biggest need with be a true #1 LSD to pair with Carlson but MF could easily become that if he keep developing well. Orlov and Jensen are great so imo no real need for PK especially with cholowski or whatever also being a LSD rfa. Then we can move TVR back to RSD
