If I was a betting man, I'd put money on Laviolette scratching Sprong instead of Sheary or Eller to keep McM in the lineup.

My preference would be to scratch Sheary, put McM on the third line with Eller and Oshie.

Ovechkin - Kuznetsov - Wilson
Mantha - Backstrom - Sprong
McM - Eller - Oshie
Hagelin - Dowd - Hathaway

Yeah I 100% agree with you. I do think this is our last year with Eller though so should enjoy him while we can

Yeah I agree, I like that too. I just feel like sprong had a lot to offer and you can see he has skill I just hope he continues to get ice time because I feel like he is gonna breakout soon

Of those who could be the odd one out, I would think it will be Hagelin. Sheary has played quite well, and I think would fit decently with Dowd and Hathaway. Also, that would put Hathaway on the PK, which would probably benefit that line.

My prediction is that he will be rotated in and out with some other players throughout the year when everyone is healthy.

I thought that too but I don’t know if they should break up the 4th line it is one of the best in the league and Hagelin has so mad Pk skills

The 4th line was awesome last year and we haven't gotten to see much of them this year but from my perspective Hagelin has struggled this year, and could perhaps benefit from a kick in the pants such as a strategic benching for a couple games. I am also a big fan of how Sheary plays and would rather have him or Hathaway on the PK and on the 4th line so that McMichael can play more. I also think we could see a time were McMichael is sent down on the other hand. If I'm the Caps, I wouldn't want to lose AJF and if it comes down to him or McMichael I think the Capitals may consider sending McMIchael down since he is waivers exempt.
