Whats the price

Description
I see people trading for JT miller and giving up Amirov and lots of picks, like it should, but got me thinking of another power forward, bit less effective but maybe on the market for less? I could also be wrong.

What do you think the asking price is?
Is it worth it?

That isn't a bad offer but I don't know why the Ducks would be in a hurry to move him. He's a good player now and part of their future. They have no need to make this trade.

As a Ducks fan, I can't imagine any reason why Comtois would be on the market. Fits the timeline, fills a valuable role, etc., etc., etc...

Kind of at the stage of the rebuild where if you're moving Comtois, it's in a package for a significant, long-term upgrade somewhere.

Agreed. Plus, we've played the Ritchie game before...Absolutely no interest in that.

I agree completely with the general consensus here. I'd add that I think that both teams would shy away from a Comtois trade right now since his value is in flux. Is he the budding top-liner who led the Ducks in scoring last year? Or is he the guy who is off to a horrible start and is now injured?

just dont see the need to trade a good prospect (whos only 2 years younger and who could even end up being better than comtois) and also a first rounder for a guy that lets be real hasnt really proven anything

leafs could get better with that for sure

Gotta assume it's just a confidence thing. Spent the first 8 games starting like the vast majority of his shifts in the d-zone...wasn't until the last 5 games played that Eakins actually gave him a shot. Not that +/- is super relevant, but the past 5 games he was >>>>the first 8.

Put him on a good line and force him to shoot a bit more...19 shots in 13 games is grimace

I agree. I think he could slot in on the LW with Lundeström and Silfverberg

I think they could help pull out his offensive side out and he can also get in and use his size on the forecheck

Plus, two solid guys defensively there with him

I'm assuming that the early season usage was an attempt to unlock some defensive abilities there, and turn him into a solid 2 way forward. It seemed to work defensively, but certainly took all of the offence out of him. I'm not super worried long term though.
