Yikes. Have you missed the past 3 seasons of Matt Murray

You're not going to get a first round pick for Murray. Especially from a team who is going to be floating near the bottom of the standings for the next few years.

You're going to get a lot of flack from the Murray haters over this one, but even those of us who value Murray can see this is an overpayment. I understand you need to get to the cap floor, but there are better ways to do it, where Arizona gets picks, not gives them up.

Murray isn't the right goalie for Arizona because Ottawa isn't going to pay to get rid of him, despite the fans wishing it. The fans don't run the team.

You want to find bad contracts where the team isn't playing the player, and keep your picks, especially the really good ones.

Carolina says thank you very much, and runs for the hills. Ottawa does the same thing except more jubilantly. If the canes can get Emberson for Gardiner, that would be a huge win for the Canes. I have always been high on Emberson when he was drafted, and I would love to see him in a canes uniform.

Why would Arizona risk their 1st round pick of 2023 draft where there is Michkov and Bedard for Murray?
