Oh it's 100% dumb.

I'm kind of curious if a Petterson/Marner swap is at all fair. Despite his contract, Marner is unquestionably better.

I’d rather have Pettersson tbh. A #1C PPG is always more valuable than any winger

It's close. I agree with that assessment 90% of the time, unless that winger is an Ovi or Panarin.

Ignoring his most recent slump of very much not PPH, the issue with Petey is he's sort of only half a center. Someone else usually takes his draws for him, and he usually benefits from having a bigger, secondary center on his line. His record breaking season in Sweden was also mostly spent on the wing.

I can’t imagine what the salary cap implications of an extension would be, but I also have to imagine the Rangers accept that trade

Kuch is weird because he hasn't played in basically 2 regular seasons.

Assuming he is healthy, 100%. Kuch is a top 5 forward talent in the league
