Think Ottawa is way better off buying out Zaitsev vs swapping him for Myers. Having neither is preferable to either, and that's way easier with Zaitsev's deal vs Myers deal.

I would like this for the Sabres. Haven't watched much of Hamonic's game as of recent, but the Sabres will desperately need some veteran presence next year on the back end.

he's a solid defenseman but shouldn't be used in top pairing minutes
