Oilers GM stated time and time again that he is not interested in trading a first. For a UFA. Oilers decline

There’s a better chance the montreal canadiens can work a trade with the allouettes than the bruins.

As fans, we remember the rivalry more than GMs do. And Montreal has been bad lately, there isnt much of a rivalry to speak of.

Then why haven’t they had a meaningful trade in over 50 years? Just one minor 7th d man.

Because GMs have their GMs (teams) they like to deal with. Bergevin was one of the most active GMs in his reign, and he dealt with the same teams over and over, but even with his dealing, he didnt trade with everyone. Imagine a team making 30 meaningful trades even in a 50 year span?

Rivalry aside, is the value there?

So you just think that it’s random coincidence that the two teams haven’t traded for half a century?

As for value, who am i to say, but i don’t like Dvorak at all. I don’t think he’s a top six center, or particularly close to it, and for the bruins to move a first, I think a top six C or a LD have to come back.

Yeah I know he's crazy. You really think Brisebois does this when he was Assistant GM and Crunch GM when Drouin refused assignment? Jon Cooper wanted to send him down because he didn't back check and nothing I've seen in him says that has changed. You don't back check in TB you don't play
