They could probably squeeze him in at 4m by letting Bortuzzo walk, but unless Tarasenko is moved I could see DP being the odd man out next year. Would be a shame bc he loves St Louis and he's been very good these last few years, but with the way guys fall off at his age anything other than a 1 yr deal would be sketchy.

Mikkola and Husso's salary will almost certainly double (perhaps a bit less) for next season. Bortuzzo will be half the price you've signed him for in this scenario and that's assuming we bring him back.

I could see a scenario where we bring Perron back at a 1 year 4-5 million deal, or 2 year 3-3.5 million dollar deal. If he wants anything longer or more expensive, I'd show him the door and get Kyrou & Thomas signed long-term.

yup honestly i could see him taking a pay cut like 2 yrs 3.5 mil

Blues have to sign Perron first before letting him go to another team. That's just how Perron works. Sign to an extension then trade if he's on his way out.
