So by realistic you mean you have your pick of any teams RFA's to sign as you please, and giving away a talented young defenseman for not only nothing but adding picks as well...

I find this pretty realistic. Most of the ufa's rfa's will be free agents. If I can figure out how to rate it I give a 4.5/5. Solid depth, kept key players, stayed under salary, realistic signings, realistic contracts. Best one I have seen by far. Good job, dont let the haters get to you...

What he has done with the Maatta deal makes sense because they would then have the opportunity to move murray for a guy like trouba... Thats exactly what teams will do to keep certain players from vegas.... However, his signings are unrealistic and far too low... No way mason signs for that low as well as Schultz

He signed Schultz that low because the Pens and Schultz had the same idea last year: wait to see if we are playoff contenders. Schultz has said he would stay in Pittsburgh for cheap. I agree with AustinCookie on that. The Mason signing was probably just for fun idk though

Yeah Caps are going to let Orlov just walk for free and Orlov is totally going to sign $3M less than what he's worth to be a 7th dman. So realistic!

Orlov isnt worth $4 million to anyone but Caps fans. He would have to prove himself to crack this defense Cookie has created. And this is a what if. His title says SEMI realistic. So maybe the Caps would let him walk. Anything is possible lol

In the end, very good job. I can tell you are not bandwagon because you know the importance of guys like Rowney, Archibald, Wilson, and Rudewehl in the AHL. Maybe a better contract for Mason but other than that, I give a solid 4/5 stars!!

It isn't likely that Paajarvi or Orlov become UFAs. Maybe Yak will because he doesn't fit on STL. Trouba trade isn't realistic IMO. Why would the Jets want to have Murray and Hellebuyck? Sure it would be a luxury, but not at the cost of losing Trouba. Mason will find a better deal than that. Why have you signed sooo many guys? Are there zero players currently in WBS and you have to fill a whole team?

I think some of these comments are reinforcing the Dunning-Kruger effect haha

You serious? The guys is a possession monster that has been putting up points w/o PP time. He is 22nd in the league in points per 60 at 5v5 for dmen. Only 1 PIT player has better stats: Schultz.

I have followed this site for a year now and I never felt the need to make an account until now. People say the Winnipeg deal is bad for them. Well last time I checked, Hellabuyck hasn't been as good this year as the peg wanted. Schultz is signed low because he wants to stay there. He said he signed all these guys to fill in the roster because capfriendly doesn't have every player on the roster. Yes, he did sign Mason for cheap but guess what he said SEMI-FREAKIN-REALISTIC. Jeez, people never look into individual teams' news to know some things. Whatever, I'm done and I advise others to not comment anymore as it is useless. My constructive criticism is to sign mason for a million more. Just my opinion though, now let the hate come through. This deserves a 4 star but some people are inconsiderate so imma be Oprah and give out a 5 star. Have a good day, Cookie!

Trades aside, the contract signings are brutal.

    First off, Orlov? That's hilarious.
    1) Caps aren't going to let their future top 2 Dman walk.
    2) For 1 mill? Lol.

Secondly, this is Cullens last year, they probably aren't going to be able to resign Daley let alone Jagr, and what's with the retiree signings??

Third, Dumo will most likely get a 2-3 year bridge, Schultz won't come back if JR came up to him with that offer. Same as Sheary.
