Literally never said he wants out, and philly is better? Come on you must be joking.

I'd take Tavares 10/10 times over Giroux. I think any GM would too. Can't fathom Isles saying yes to this.

This doesn't make any sense for the Islanders. Why tf would they want to trade their captain for an older captain. Last time I checked, Tavares doesn't call the shots on the Island...

Seeing as though that's the only thing they have, I think you can bet on him having the final call. Or at the very least, one of the final calls.

Probably a couple of guys have that authority in the NHL. Crosby and Jagr probably have the last call for whatever the NHL and NHLPA wants to do haha.

You called the Isles cheap. Well maybe they are and then you traded 7m of Giroux onto them. Hardly a match for the Isles.

Sorry, but Tavares for Giroux seems a little ... I wouldn't call Giroux a superstar anymore.
And who says he wants off the island?

They get term. They can't get that from Tavares.

Maybe not, but who is going to the Island and where are they playing in the near future? Do they have a building to go to after getting kicked out of the Barclays center.

They will get nothing WHEN he walks away after next year.

I think there's a few arenas that they're looking at but i don't think they have decided yet. Apparently they could be staying for more than a few years in Barclay's Centre though. I heard that recently.
