Sissons and more for the bottom-6

Created by: SupremeBone
Team: 2021-22 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 7, 2021
Published: Dec. 7, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Oilers need their bottom-6 to be responsible and capable of NOT getting horribly outscored (9-26 so far this year). Alongside the personnel changes, there must be some changes to deployment that allow the bottom half of the roster to play with more confidence (more ice time, more PP time, deployment following PK, etc).

The top-3 RWs can be shifted around as performance and fit dictates.

1.
EDM
  1. Järnkrok, Calle
Additional Details:
Jarnkrok is a capable middle-6 player that's struggling right now. Despite that, I'm sure he would help.

  2. Turris, Kyle
  3. 2023 3rd round pick (EDM)

Sissons is a capable, prime-aged 3rd line RC that has term on his contract and has strong playoff performances to his name.
NSH
  1. Kassian, Zack ($500,000 retained)
  2. 2022 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Kassian has some skill, can skate, and can be a physical menace. He doesn't do it enough and is a defensive liability. As he is now, he's a cap dump.

EDM
  1. Larsson, Johan
Additional Details:
A capable defensive C. Simple as.
ARI
  1. Marody, Cooper
  2. 2023 5th round pick (EDM)

Id do it from Nashville’s end. Creates room for Glass back into the NHL while keeping Novak where he’s at.

I think Arizona could get better than that for Larsson, he should be a target for Holland though.

I figure the defensive changes would need to wait until the offseason and I'm not sure I'd want to pay the price MTL seems to want for Chiarot.

Fair, I figured it was borderline but I can't imagine him garnering much more than a 4th and a warm body. Maybe my read on deadline values is off, though.
