Saves the Nucks some bucks short and long term.

Might even improve Ottawa a bit.

This would have to be paired with another deal where Van picks up a RD to eat some minutes. Myers did at least do that.

I think this might be doable based on the fact that swapping Myers for Zaitsev is only an additional 1.5M / yr for the same term, and OTT might be more desperate to be rid of Z than VAN is to get rid of M. A second line of Stutzle between Brown and Pearson would be tough to play against and could put up some points. Plus VAN gets a little bit of cap breathing room going into next year.
