Kaut and Compher might be expendable, but adding both a 1st and a 2nd is too much.

What you have to realize is half of Girouxs upside is his offence but COL is #1 in the league in scoring so half of his value doesnt fill a team need.

That’s an overpay for a rental. The Avs don’t need Giroux, what they need is help and depth d, maybe a clutch face of guy that can actually play, not a 34yr old rental. Good teams don’t spend assets on things they don’t need, Sakic wouldn’t pay the price for Hall who had a full plus season left he sure isn’t going to do it for a rental at a position of no need.

Screw that, the last thing COL needs is to spend assets on a 34 yr old rental. COL doesn’t need top 6 help they aren’t exactly struggling to score, they need health, and depth d so MacDermid doesn’t play defense.

Take out the first and I'd do it. Not sure that gets it done, but that's what I'd personally be willing to pay.
