We aren’t “stuck” with him when we’ll gladly keep him. Amazing locker room guy and can still contribute offensively. Wouldn’t give him away for free

Hes got five ****ing points, he contributes next to nothing offensively.

I think Lowry is a unique player. Great defensively, but slow and doesn’t produce a lot offensively. His contract situation reminds me a bit of perreaults. Probably 1-1.5 million overpaid for what he does. He’s a great locker room and energy guy. If he was a bit faster and produced offensively, he’d be well worth his 3.25 million.

People like to present the argument that players will play well in contract year and then suck, but don’t realize most players rebound after their 1st year with new deal.

Whats he going to rebound to?

I wasn’t saying Lowry would rebound to anything, more so just pointing out that people like to present one side of an argument but leave out the other side.

I think Lowry is an offensive black hole and overpaid, but he can be useful if deployed correctly.

Thing is as poor as his numbers are this season they're really not much worse then his average years and his couple better years were circumstantial more then anything, this is what he is imo.

My take with Lowry has always been for whatever he's giving you defensively he's taking away more by being so unproductive and a drag on his linemates production.
I'm also aware he does go out against the other teams top lines but its rarely every shift so he plays mostly against other teams bottom six and still doesn't produce.

At half price he'd be a nice 4C to have but I'm sure another serviceable 4C could be found that made less and that cap spent elsewhere.

The Lowry line really seemed to struggle against the Caps last night.

The Jets wouldn't be in such dissaray if their bottom six wasn't so unproductive, its been one of their biggest issues for years yet Chevy has done nothing about it.

But Armia has 5 points as well and you consider him a stud 3rd liner on a great contract. Double standard? sarcasm

One plays on a so called good team, the other on a bad team so there's that.

I'm fully aware that Lowry is the Jets 3C for life so my thought is to bring back Armia who Lowry had succes with.

And yeah I just flat out think Armia is the better player without question, should of traded Lowry in the summer of 2018 and kept Armia.
