Replace Zadina with Raymond or Seider and ARI will accept. Zadina's stock is decreasing.

Pretty sure Arizona considers this offer strongly, especially if they feel Zadina is not a lost cause

eh that's tough tho. I'd take either Raymond or Seider alone over Chychrun. Any more than this and I don't see it being worth it for Detroit

Name one trade that returned that. Also, Seider > Chychrun especially going forward.

which is ironic bc that was his main attribute going into his draft

Oh I'm not saying that is fair, it absolutely isn't. But I think that'll be their ask. They'll require an overpayment.

So again, name one trade that returned that. Plenty of quality names better than JC have been traded with a much lower return. Arizona can ask for whatever they want but the reality is his value is what the highest bidder will do. The best way to evaluate that is to determine a comparable trade. I can want Emma Watson all I want but that doesn’t mean it’s going to come to fruition.

Zadina has improved his 2 way game. I like his hustle. Good team player. But he was drafted to score goals and he just can't do it at the NHL level. I don't believe he'll be much more than he is right now. It's frustrating indeed.

Good taste you have

I've no example to put here. Just think that ARI would prefer having a top prospect in exchange to the guy in place of Zadina, who has not put up the results that were expected, even if it still are early days.

I get the thought process, but Raymond and Seider are both too established (and too good) now to be the "top prospect" involved. A more realistic option would be Berggren, he's still yet to make the league and he has great potential, making him the best forward prospect the Wings have.

Yeah, I think when we’ve established yourself as Calder candidates as 19-20 years old you aren’t labeled “top prospect”. I also exclude Edvinsson because when was the last blue chip prospect moved? Wallinder is getting slept on by casual fans here. We can look at the Mark Stone return since he had an extension negotiated pre-trade. In the cap era we haven’t seen a top 5 draft pick traded knowingly and I can’t think of a blue chip traded off the top of my head. The closest would be Krebs imo but that was for a franchise 1C.
