Kings decline. Edler has more experience in the area where the Kings young D can learn from vs what Turns brings

Kings decline. Edler is good and has been useful to us; Turris isn't and wouldn't be (because we have plenty of guys who can play bottom-6 center).

Pavelski could be absolute overkill as a 3C, or a fantastic RW for Draisaitl, his presence could drastically improve Edmonton's 2nd pp unit as well. MAF, if healthy and at his best would settle the Oilers at least as well as Smith has at times. Adding those two veterans could be enough to get Edmonton to the promised land, but I suspect salary retention will be very expensive and that both would be hesitant of joining the Oilers for 20 games and a playoff run. If those two acquisitions occurred, the Oilers would definitely be making a statement that they are going for it this year. In that case, they may as well pay the price for some help on the blue line and aim higher than Edler.
