The isles don’t have cap problems but I can see Varlamov being traded, I’m sure they’ll try to get a 2nd rd pick but they might accept a 3rd.

They have$15m to sign 9 guys, and they'll want to make some improvements for sure. They'll need that $5m Varlamov contract gone in order to make any significant upgrades.

Assuming Dobson gets 3.5 mill on a bridge and Salo (their 2LD next season) gets 900k-1 mill, that leaves them with around 9 mill. That's even before trading Varlamov -theyll trade him but they don't lack leverage because they don't have to trade him, they aren't in cap hell.

Don’t need to move Bish now that he’s retired. He will stay on LTIR til his contract is up
