definitely Stephenson, they finally got the C depth down the middle they have wanted with Eichel. Smith they might not have a choice,

The only reason I say hes not going to is that he has a no trade clause. Unless its a motified trade clause then ofc, I would most certinitly move dadinov

Yeah it might happen, just seems like they wouldn't want to breakup Smith-Karlsson-Marchessault or trade an assistant captain. Could also see them trying to trade Carrier and/or Janmark to free up some cap space, will be interesting to see what they do.

Still can't believe Vegas snagged Stephenson for a measly 5th round pick, some GMs are really dumb imo, I was cursing Chevy for missing out on that one.

Very true, I do think that It would make more sense to move some of those guys. The real issue is quality over quanity, if that makes any sense. If they wenrt willing to move on from stevensen they may end up losing more players in the process rather then just the two or 3 in these mock trades. I do see the concernt breaking up that line.

I know, Dadonov only has a 10 team no trade list, I'd think they could still find a team that'd be interested, he's having an okay year and Vegas could probably retain a little bit on him.

The only reason I say the are moving him is beacuse Dadanov has a no trade clause, meaning they will need to move other players. I hope that makes sense and informes you too why I moved stevensen

Well would you rather lose quantity like Carrier and/or Janmark who could pretty easily replaced by a league minimum player or lose a versatile guy like Stephenson that'd be more difficult and/or costly to replace?

I was surprised Vegas didn't send some cap to Buffalo in the Eichel trade, seems like the Sabres would've probably taken Carrier off their hands.

NJ could use wingers, I could see them taking Dadonov if Vegas was giving him away.

Thats very true. But all coming down to real life Dadinov has a no trade cause. This does as you were saying almost force there hand with certin guys. I could also see a loss of guys like janmark and carrier. Like in your other mention perhapas to said devils for ahl players and picks. Great ideas I will most likly redo one of these with all of yours and others input.

Yeah, just depends on if they can find one of the 20 teams that aren't on Dadonov''s no trade list that might be interested in him but really its more like 18 teams since Florida and Ottawa probably aren't on his 10 team no trade list but neither team likely has any interest in him.

if they do get fully healthy and no longer are using LTIR they could make this work without moving nearly 10m of cap off the books. The problem with moving janmark and Carrier types is that their caps are just not big enough and you still have to replace them with a guy on an ELC or making like 900k, so you are talking about gaining 1m here, 1m there.. End up overhauling 50% their depth players while getting worse.

I think its more likely Vegas trades for a Johnny boychuk contract and use that LTIR money instead of moving Smith as well

They won't trade Stephenson, but even if they did he would pull a lot more then a so-so pick.

Quoting: coga16

I think they can get something good for Smith and still get that cap space they need

If anyone gives them "something good" to shed Smith, they need to be fired. Out of a cannon. Vegas is over a barrel hard, nobody should be doing them such huge favors.

I just had a different thought thinking that they would trade for an LTIR contract instead. Watch them trade Dadanov for Johnny Boychuks contract and they are all cap compliant just like that

but I will never underestimate the stupidity of some GMs doing exactly that, bailing out teams thinking their are smarter than the system. Ron Francis is going to screw up this TDL helping too many teams with dumb trades

Man, that first line breaks the bank. Over 50% of cap with Shea and Alex.
