Other Hertl trade that Sharks fans were pretty happy about on another thread was Chytil and a 1st and to be honest atm Chytil isn't worth more than a 2nd rounder.

That said, Hertl will get more than this, simply a fact.

Novel concept. Try drafting a center or better yet two of them. Bergeron 45th in 2003. Krejci 63rd in 2004. Drafting well is the number one component for teams to be successful and you need 1's and 2's to accomplish that. Full stop.

Stralman is a 6/7th D, is overpaid at $2.75M and he isn't better than any D the Bruins currently have. That trade doesn't work. What is Forbort doing on the top pair when he has dragged down McAvoy all season? Grzelcyk not in the top4? Sharks could find a better deal especially at 50% retained. From the Bruins' side, I would try to avoid including a 2023/2024 pick in a trade and instead opt for one the prospects (or how many you need to match the value). Otherwise if you plan on re-signing Hertl, you can send one the upcoming years' pick(s).

Also, need to add another top9 F at the minimum if you target the SCF.
