If you’re lucky, Kane can “retire” to go play in the Olympics since most can’t/won’t. Then he can resign somewhere else after or not at all.

don't think that's how contracts work. There are recapture penalties if he retires

I know players are currently looking into it. Not saying it’s a guarantee or anything but that this is possibly an avenue if they find a loophole
