Too much for Barrie in my opinion. Puju is likely untouchable at this point.

Would a trade to wpg, barrie for wpg 2017 second and Roslovic be unreasonable?

I agree, just a thought....what if included other assets back to EDM? Like first rds picked up from Ottowa/Carolina?

Edmonton absolutely should not do that trade unless Colorado is throwing something else. Barrie is extremely overrated.

Check the Avs record and the top five players on the Avs that you traded. Trade value not nearly as high as Avs fans hope. High cap, generally low performance per dollar.

Colorado is a conundrum. They NEED to make changes, that's not a question.
Player values are all over the map though. Sakic is asking for too much, some fans don't feel that way, some people assign extra value to the rest of their players by association. So most Avalanche trades expect too much coming back. I don't blame people for having a hard time gauging the market really.

Johnson isn't going to get Drouin. I think the rest are more reasonable value wise, but maybe not for the exact pieces, which will also have an inflated value, as there is little to no interest in trading them.

We often hear GMs say their lines are always open, but we know certain players are virtually untouchable unless an offer "blows" them away.
Duchene is know to be available, but there's no pressure to trade him yet. So he's at market value.
Hanifin is not being made available, so he's at higher than market value (aka his blow me away price).

Although it seems ridiculous that Duchene and Landeskog will be Avs in October and being shopped so heavily it might happen. Avs would get a better return if those two guys especially play improves over this year.
So maybe Sakic is wise too hold off any trades and hope for better play from his "tradable" players and his team.
