You're being really optimistic that teams want to take on that big cap for years to come. That Edmonton trade...you left out the "obvious", that whether the Oilers do that trade. IMO the Oilers are lot better off keeping that lottery pick, the 3rd and Holloway and having cap to get a goalie this summer, than having 4.5m Price for five years.

massive decline by the avs.
You know the salary cap exists for them, also they want nothing to do wiht Drouin or trading a top prospect for him
