Isn’t he coming back? I read he was supposedly coming back after the Olympics

Yeah he's supposed to return at some point. I don't know exactly when.

nope for either Boeser or Miller the only piece the Canucks would be interested in would be Marino. Pens wouldn't have the prospects to compete with other offers

Yeah, cause the Canucks probably don't have any interest in Drew O'Connor or Samuel Poulin, and Filip Hallander has scarcely any value at this point

I can see that. Honestly though Poulin and POJ would be worth more than Marino. He’s been ok but not what we expected since his rookie year

POJ is a LHD, Nucks need a RHD like Marino

Eh, I don't think Minnesota, Washington, Carolina, or Winnipeg need one. Some teams strangely enough need a LHD more than they do a RHD

If a gm made these terrible trades then I’d say they’d be the special one not the team 😂. Only thing special is how much worse you made the team. Yikes!

No they really don’t, that’s why you keep changing them. The Miller trade was absolute bananas. You traded like 6 pieces for 2. Teams just don’t do that unless it’s for an Eichel like player. Especially considering how many pieces you’ve traded in every other trade. No team would trade a top 9 forward, a b- prospect, and a 2nd for a 6/7 defenseman, much less one who has only played 6 games due to injury. Then you trade a b prospect, a b+ goalie prospect, a 7th D, and a 1st round pick for a guy who has mostly been a power play specialist in his career. Then you trade the prospect most likely to make an nhl jump next year and probably one of our best, and a 5th round pick for Martin Jones. Not the Martin Jones from like 6-7 years ago but the one who is basically an overpaid DeSmith. Congrats you played yourself.

I see you removed the most controversial trade and I will be the first to comment on the Sabre trade.
Riikola, and Blomqvist do not have any value to Buffalo.
Buffalo has really good LHD and GK prospects.
Was there a reason you included them?
Why did you target Stecher?
Go to https://public.tableau.com/views/SKATR2019-2020/SKATR?:embed=y&:display_count=y&ConfusedhowVizHome=no#3 and compare him to Collin Miller.
I think Miller would be a better option at a fraction of the price you are paying for Stecher.
I am not the Sabre's GM (LOL I am sure Kim would never want me as I am no where near as handsome as Kevyn) but I would do Miller and Olofsson for Zucker, Poulin, Samuel and 2022 1st round pick (PIT).
Unless there is a reason you are including Hållander, Riikola and Blomqvist in your trades.
GMTD liked this.

I reverted that trade because it wasn’t fair to Vancouver. JT Miller would be an absolute steal for us. That trade simply wasn’t balanced. Troy Stecher isn’t a 6/7. That’s absurd. He’s a guy who could play on the second pairing for many teams and he’s a much coveted RHD.

Olofsson has only played on bad teams. His cap hit a s low for his value. We need a LW do Geno when he’s back.

Martin Jones is better than Desmith who’s really an AHL/NHL tweener. If Jarry’s stellar play drops off we are in trouble

No that trade was awful for the pens. JT Miller would be nice but you absolutely overpaid for him lol. Yes Troy Stetcher is a 6/7 Dman. He isn’t even playing 2nd pair minutes for Detroit lol.
Not being able to play on bad teams is a lame excuse. Have you actually watched the pens? If he is only a PP specialist playing with the likes of Eichel, what’s he going to do with our injury plagued team playing with ERod or Carter? He isn’t worth a 1st round pick and 2 decent prospects. That’s just nonsense.
Martin Jones is only slightly better than DeSmith but is also paid more than DeSmith. Jones sucks and you’re giving up a good prospect and a pick for him. That’s dumb when you can just keep your prospect and pick and keep your own Swiss cheese in net. If Jarry falls off, Martin Jones is hardly a savior. If you’re going to use that as justification then at least go after someone like Holtby ffs. You know a guy that can come in and carry the load?

I don’t agree with a single thing you wrote. You strike me as one of the Pittsburgh people who doesn’t like it when people trade your favorite player. This team as currently constructed isn’t going to be any better than last year

Except you haven’t traded my favorite player so this whole statement makes zero sense. I’m one of those Pittsburgh fans that’s actually a fan and wants to see the team succeed while also understanding where the team is at. You’ve made the team way worse and destroyed their depth. That’s not the way you construct a team that’s injury and covid plagued. That’s how you knock them out of playoff contention while also giving up assets that can make them better in the future. Everything you’ve done here is terrible and you have zero reasoning behind it.

The reasoning is to win NOW. Future means nothing as long as 87 is on the team
