    Maybe

The reason I say this is because that’s a lot but it would make the team a lot better. I don’t know much about him so can you tell me a couple of things

Schmaltz is not a centre he’s much better on the wing he can’t win draws and isn’t great in his own zone nor made to be a centre he is currently on the 4th line right win spot

Hard pass. The Blues aren't adding cap/depleting depth in a trade, and Ghost isn't the type of LD they'd want anyway.

He’s as good as Chabot and Werenski imo. Like obviously some ppl will have preference but all these guys are close to each other

I'm not sure that's true. He'd be an interesting pairing with Parayko if they want to move Mikkola down to play with Bortz.

They need someone who can actually play defense very efficiently. Ghost bear nor Mikkola are good enough defensively.

You are right, but it just highlights the underlying issue that Parayko has not been good enough.

I dont disagree. It's been pretty disappointing to see. It doesn't help he's been paired with other defenseman who are bottom pairing (Perunovich, Mikkola, Scandella) Granted, I know he's been getting more playing time and going up against top lines, but he really hasn't been good enough. If they go after an Arizona defender, they'll go after Chychrun.

Agree but he also played with guys like Krug and Faulk and didn't get it done either. Now that he's got a big paycheck, he needs to be carrying the pairing. The team should be able to get away with putting a dude like Scandella on the other side and not have it turn into an unmitigated disaster.

Also interesting that some of his partners (Krug, Scandella) have been noticeably better with someone else on the right side. Probably more to do with the assignment and competition level, but still.

Parayko doesn't get paired with Faulk at all. Keep in mind though, Petro struggled for a year and half with Bouwmeester because he constantly had to overcorrect for his mistakes. Parayko made Bouwmeester better. Maybe he's putting too much pressure on himself to get it done.
Scandella hasn't improved and Krug just isn't good defensively so he could have only gone up. Chemistry is another thing that he hasn't found since Jaybo went down. I also wouldn't mind having Edmundson back if he ever gets healthy.
