I know it's a small move, but I really like the Laughton deal as a Flyers fan. I'd much rather have Murphy as a depth defenseman then to overpay in FA for one and Laughton might get picked in the expansion so I'd probably take that.

Would you take it as Carolina or just as Philly?

to me it seems pretty even both ways. Murphy seems to be the odd man out, and Laughton needs another shot and he might not get it in Philly even next year. Plus he might get taken by Vegas so it makes sense to at least add someone to the team than to lsoe him. I think Laughts would be a great fit in CAR - he actually wasn't bad for the Flyers but the coach is an idiot and values VdV over him so there isn't a place for him until next year or the coach is fired which isn't going to happen.

Like the trades. They're well thought out, but the term and price for bishop... it'll cause future signing problems and Idk if he can be as reliable as other goalies available. Guy like fleury maybe or Ryan miller

    Thanks for the comments guys!

PS: The Philly trade is because it's 2 former 1st round picks that might turn out to play like first round picks, but might turn out to play nowhere near the 1st round pick level.

So what happens when you have to sign Lindholm, Aho, Slavin, Pesce, Hanifin, etc?

We'll just have to wait and see in a year. I just re-sign them and i don't re-sign Stempniak and Ward.

Like the trades. Minor move but Fayne is a nice pickup especially for next to nothing. Right shot that can play on any third pairing. Well done.

Bean is a scratch for me, as i don't think he's ready to play full-time NHL yet.

There's no way GMRF offers those UFA contracts like that

I was gonna say. Those UFA contracts are terrible. Derek Ryan for 3 years at 3.5m???? Then Bishop for 7 years?? Radulov is very very skilled but that seems too much. But that might be the only reasonable one. And then Sharp gets less than Ryan?????? That is way too much for Sharp. Meaning that Ryan should get a lot less.
