They’ve said no to Laine for Pesce before. What makes you think they’d weaken their team for Laine now?

Laine to CAR makes sense when he’s UFA in a year. You have to think he’s not sticking around in Columbus past next season.

Jarvis was a non-starter for a FAR better player in Eichel. For Laine, that's laughable.

Carolina have rejected Pesce + for Laine trades before, they'll do it again. They won't subtract from one of the best rosters in the sport right now to add. Players like Gaudreau, Forsberg, and even Tarasenko who asked for a trade, will likely be cheaper to acquire than this

Laine was on the trade block not too long ago and returned a disgruntled 2C. What has he done since then to increase his value that I'm seeing in some of these proposals?
