The last 3 years of that contract would be a mistake IMO. And if they're giving up a first and a second, a lesser prospect than Sanderson needs to be included. Greig is fine.

If Giroux wants to be here, he'll be free this summer. Trading anything significant to add him for 50 games in a non playoff season is unimaginably stupid. Even if they were a guaranteed playoff team this season, this would still be a horrendous offer. Sanderson on his own is worth more than a 3r year old UFA.

What? Wouldn't do 2 Girouxs for Sanderson and let alone Greig with a 1st and 2nd most I'd trade for him is two 2nd round picks.
