Fehr isn't getting picked... Anaheim passes on that deal too. The NSH one is interesting and could get them to bite

I would be surprised if he is picked too. It really depends on if Vegas views the Leafs as a team to take a prospect (Rychel, Leivo would be the most probable options) or see them as a team to take a player to get to cap floor in short term. Either way it doesn't much in the grand scheme of things. In terms of Anaheim, I saw you in another comment say Fowler or Vatanen would be more likely. Not sure I exactly agree with that, especially in terms of Fowler. Regardless, the idea of the trade is to find a defenceman you can acquire for JVR or JVR+. Whether that's from Anaheim, Minnesota or Carolina, I don't know but that's the move you have to look at if you are the leafs.

All very solid moves here. I think for McKeown, it might depend on Carolina's plans for how they are going to want to paint all of their prenominal young d over the next 2-3 years. I want to say McKeown is a righty which could be very dependant on if they move faulk out which I could see being the most practical guy to move out to bring in some more high end offense. So move a righty out and McKeown would be the next righty in line.

As a Nashville fan I would love to see them move Wilson out. He is streaky and I'm tired of watching him chop lettuce in Nashville. Nashville needs Johansen to be the 1C and Jarnkrok to be the 3C. There is a hole at 2C and they have kamenev in the system who could be that guy but he is at least 2 years from being there and Bozak might be that 2C guy till then.

The only think that throws a wrench in the JVR trade is the success of patrick Eaves. With the production that Anaheim is getting with eaves on the top line and Perry on the second line, I almost wonder if they would rather get a prospect then JVR. But at the same time the have such a good core of young defense and getz and Perry are prime age that they are in the middle of their cup window for sure and JVR could be seen as another weapon for the arsenal.

Manson is perfect for the Leafs. But also for ANA and so he's a pipe dream. He isn't being traded. The sooner Leaf fans realize that the better. He plays in thier first pairing and is absolutely killing it. He's cost controlled and by all accounts loves ANA. So you would have to overpay massively for the ducks to consider moving him. Vatanen is much more likely to be traded.

I actually kind of agree with this. I still think that might not be enough for JVR, but overall pretty realistic in my opinion. I'll give you 3 stars.
