All the other teams decline and you're getting a discounted UFA price on Rakell and Forsberg. Dreams do come true, but not this one. It's funny how Leafs are panicking after a really strong Rangers team scores 5 straight on them meanwhile Edmonton is about to implode for a losing streak.

Not panicking, just saying if there's another first round exit things need to change, starting with the big 4.

Because Marner is overpaid and Seider is going to win multiple Norris trophies. You keep Marner and Detroit will keep Seider, thanks

Seider is (likely) going to grow into a true number one Defense Man, which to be honest to Detroit he already is. If he continues to grow he will be on track for multiple Norris trophy nominations. And IMO in later rounds its forwards who grow into top end players more than Dmen. Not that Marner is bad, but he's not the best under pressure and not as valuable as an elite d man.

I think everything was said for the Detroit trade. Marner is a great player and I really really like him but not trading Seider for him. Considering his contract I wouldn't trade him 1 for 1 for Bertuzzi. I would trade Zadina and maybe a player like McIsaac or a couple second round picks. That would be all as it doesn't make sense for Detroit right now.

We do have a nice "rusty but trusty" D man for you though.
Have you heard of Danny DeKeyser?
