Description
List of trades, what I like in return / possible teams/clear cap/ roster space with a couple ( obviously not all ) of these trades .

7.
MTL
EDM
  1. Price, Carey
  2. Vejdemo, Lukas
  3. 2023 3rd round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
Likely not till the off season. The oilers will be looking to keep McDavid happy after lack of playoff appearance/ early exit.
MTL likes french prospects.
May require a different bad contact instead of foegle, not sure how. EDM feels about him
8.
PIT
  1. Hoffman, Mike
  2. Savard, David
Additional Details:
Hughes is familiar with Matheson.( And from Quebec)
A few overpaid players here, Hoffman likely has the most value. Ideally MTL does not retain but put likely needs to get rid of a bit more money somehow.

  1. 2023 2nd round pick (TOR)
TOR
  1. Brown, Dustin ($2,500,000 retained)

ANA
  1. Anderson, Josh
Additional Details:
I would actually keep Anderson, but no one is off limits if a team want him I wouldn't do it for less than this. ( Or similar, doubt he would go to the ducks, I think his speed and size would work really well with McDavid, for something similar to the price trade)
17.
MTL
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (NJD)
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (NJD)

Man, Gallagher has really fallen off with Habs fans, huh? That's the heart of the team... maybe he doesn't produce as much as he should but boy, two seconds and a useless Dustin Brown (Useless for the Habs).

He's the kind of player every team would want - obviously he has to produce and stay healthy.

I like him, but I can't see his value being much more than what I put. I think it is more likely that he wants to leave and not be part of a rebuild.

Rangers trade might happen like that maybe. Depends what they value Kravtsov at.
Florida doesn't consider.
Devils have no reason to pay for Petry, would probably want something in return just to take him.
LA doesn't trade Brown and I doubt they pay that much for the full contract of Gallagher.
You are not getting Laf plus a pick lol.
Take out Lavoie, Bourgault, Foegele, and the first and Edmonton still says no.
Penguins don't have the cap space for that trade.
Toronto wouldn't have the cap space for Brown anyways.
Tampa doesn't have the cap space for anyone.
Colorado is no trading Byram let alone adding a pick and especially not for Drouin.
Minny and Washington meh
Boston trade meh but I don't think they will like it.
Don't think the sharks take that either.
Take out Comtois and the first and Anaheim might consider, but that's probably too much for them to want to pay as well.
Allen might get a third, if he gets a second that's good for him.

Wow that Colorado trade is bad. The Canadiens would have to add their 1st round pick for the Avs to even consider. Also the Ducks wouldn’t give up a 1st, 2nd, AND Comtois for Anderson, who’s contract is pretty bad

Don’t worry, Edmonton can keep Lavoie and Foegele !! We don’t want them

Los Angeles won't be trading Dustin Brown and won't be paying more than a third for Brendan Gallagher, and that's with 40% retention.

San Jose won't be paying more than one third for Joel Armia, let alone adding another third, let alone adding a guy who has recorded the same number of points as Armia in 50% fewer games.

I doubt that Anaheim would trade Comtois for Anderson even up, let alone add a high draft pick. The Ducks would probably prefer to re-sign Rickard Rakell, who has the same production this year, for the same or less money as Anderson.

1st trade - Montreal accepts. Lehkonen has more value to a playoff team than he does Montreal. Kravtsov has high upside and could reach that given a move to Montreal. NYR has no leverage on him as he won't play for them.

2nd Trade - This is a tough one, Montreal accepts, but I'd rather a 1st round pick in this draft and let Hughes draft who he wants to draft.

3rd Trade - Unless we get a 1st + for Petry, I'd rather keep him and let him guide the young players. Despite his bad play this year, he was a fan favorite and he seems to love Montreal.

4th Trade - I think we should resign Kulak and keep him. He's a good #4 (he's very underrated) that is worth more playing for Montreal than against

5th Trade - Gallagher is the same as Petry, unless we can get a very good prospect + high pick, he should stay with Montreal. He's another veteran who can lead the young guys. His heart and loyalty with Montreal (and the fans who love him back) will sell tickets and create that bond that Montreal has seem to lost

6th trade - This is a no brainer for Montreal. Lafreniere has a chance to be a PPG type player in the right role. Accept all day long.

7th Trade - Getting out of that Price contract is a win. Even if we got future considerations for him than it's a win.

8th Trade - Matheson really isn't that great IMO. Product of a good system who would flop in Montreal. Would rather keep those 2 players.

9th Trade - Null because of my previous statement

10th Trade - Easy Accept, Paquette is awful

11th Trade - Another tough one, Drouin has been coming into his own lately and with an offensive system (Like Hughes wants and Tampa had) I think he will flourish. Bowen's injury concerns are a real problem so I would personally reject that trade.

12th Trade - Montreal takes whatever they can for Widemen and run. He has value to a playoff team, but not a whole lot to Montreal

13th Trade - I'm Keeping Dvorak over DeBrusk, younger and better IMO. He's going to be our future 2C for a long time.

14th Trade - Getting any value for Perreault is a W

15th Trade - Getting any value for Armia is a W

16th Trade - Anderson is damn good but it's hard to reject that value.

17th Trade - Allen is expendable so Montreal accepts.
