I don't think Detroit would pay anything for Zucker. Yzerman would probably consider him a cap dump. That doesn't mean another gm wouldn't.

Personally, I think the Red Wings would decline. Yzerman is no stranger to acquiring young players looking for a better position in the depth chart, but with LD being a position of strength and Zucker not really serving much purpose I don’t think this package is worth spending a 2nd+ on for the Wings.

Yeah at 30yrs old Zucker just doesn't fit maybe if he was a center.

Wings in need of LHD and center, preferably RH shot, who can center 2nd line. Neither is that.
