Thomas and Kyrou making 2.8 a year each for the next two years gives us a big chance at winning a cup. We should go for it.

Our prospect pool has a few nice ones, but it's certainly not deep at the moment in anything other than goalies. But yes, I agree it's best not to overreact in trades.

Well, as usual, most of our troubles concerned turnovers in the wrong place, and that's not all defense doing it. Everything else, they've pretty much been handling for a while now.

lol I am sure the other blues fans in this chat can agree, we've never really had a "deep" prospect pool, we have constantly traded away first round picks. So when I say deep I mean for the blues not the nhl. A lot of these trades have us trading all of Neighbors, Kostin, Perunovic, Hofer and a first for Chychrun. Its insane!

I dont think a huge package is worth it. However, outside of Perunovich we don't have any defensive prospects I see as potential game breakers. Chych is cost controlled and only 23. If it takes Perunovich, Bolduc, and a 1st to get him it's worth it. Unfortunately we still have move Scandella which is a tough task

You aren't alone. That being said, Husso faced 39 shots last night and over 100 in his last three games. (32 avg over last 5 games). While that is sitting around the middle of the pack in the NHL, it just isn't competitive enough for my taste. I don't want to make a big move on a player like Chychrun but I would be up for grabbing a solid UFA

I could be in the minority here and call me crazy if you want but I think we should ride out with this D core. Mikkola has played great and i think he can grow into that top 4 role and believe it or not when the blues pair Bortuzzo and Scandella we are 8-1. Now I will say 3.275 million for a 3rd pairing defenseman for the next 3 years is a bit much and we should look to move on from him in the offseason but until there is a major problem/losing streak I don't think they should mess with the chemistry of the locker room.
