I don't think Montreal has any interest in trading Pezzetta, especially if we aren't getting anything substantial. A player who has more value to Montreal than they could get for him.

Size is only a benefit if that size can play. Putting a Rhinoceros in skates doesn't help you win and Risto is said Rhino

I think that's totally fair and would actually agree. However, if Ducharme even dresses Pezzetta, he plays 7 minutes a night and seldom in the third period. You're right, but Pezz is of no value if he's glued to the bench by that donkey of a coach.

I suppose you're right. Potentially with a solid dman beside him and in a sheltered role he might succeed?

He has been bad in every situation for a decade. People keep waving it away with excuses and what ifs and he always proves that it is indeed him.
So no. I wouldn't even have him as a #7 for 750k

I feel like it's the minor deal here, and it's fairly inconsequential, but realistically both Anderson and Pezzetta are 13th forwards at best. Both are more than likely to be waived at the start of next season, so why not take the 3rd?

They're both mediocre future-role players.

because Pezzetta has shown he can be more than a 13th forward and it's very likely that 3rd round pick becomes nothing. I'd rather hold onto Pezzetta and see what he turns into

RIstolainin has got to be the worst defender ever to be so coveted, like he's not even a top 4 guy on the marlies.
also the leafs really dont need montreal's 4th liners, not even a little
