I like both guys, but just will take a huge blow to my top-6 with no help coming back for a couple years

Some interest in Neuvirth, might be a little too rich for me though

Idk, middling prospect and middling pick? I have Quick for a long time so don't need a big prospect who will be chomping on Quicks heels for starting time soon

                                I could retain on Neuvy

I would need it to be 50% retention... so 1,250,000?

I'm personally not a huge fan of Smith-Pelly. And he would moreso be just another big power guy without much offensive upside... I have one of those in Brown lol

Ok good to know...just have to figure out a couple things but it could be a real solid possibility.

Well I would need a younger defender back that could get some top-4 action... but after moving Muzzin I may just hold onto him unless I get a real nice offer

A Jonathan Quick deal would encompass a cheaper starting goalie, young top-6 winger, and a 1st rounder is what I would like to see. It's more to just see if I could help with some cap relief. What would you be looking for for Raanta?

2? I have Doughty, Byfuglien, and Martinez. Forbort is a younger guy that has looked pretty good playing with Doughty this year so I'd be comfortable with him holding down the fort. Listening to offers on a veteran dman though on the cheaper side. (Ex guy like Streit, Campbell, etc)

Listening to offers on a veteran dman though on the cheaper side. (Ex guy like Streit, Campbell, etc)

Byfuglien mostly just hits. I wouldn't call him a top 4. Forbort is pretty good i guess but not sure i'd call him top 4 yet.

Boltscharge I can't swing that. Sorry. I'd like Namestnikov in the deal

Rangerandislesfan, what is not to like? He hits yes, but also has 50+ points in 3 of last 4 seasons (other he has 45,) logs 27 min per game, and holds a positive +/- on a bad team. Forbort isn't a bonafide top-4 guy just yet but he has played the role admirably. And he's cheap so for a cap team like me, it's nice

I see Byfuglien as a bottom pairing guy. I could say the same thing to you about someone like Kevin Klein. Do you see Kevin Klein as a bottom pairing guy?

I could see him as a second pairing guy in the right situation. I view Buff as a whole lot more though. I guess we view his talents differently lol

Yeah, i might call Byfuglien a middle-pairing guy, but probably not.

Hey, Columbus assistant gm here. I have interest in Pearson and was wondering what you were looking for as a return for him. I.e. Picks, prospects, or a one for one swap? Would a trade be more appealing if we also took Browns contract off your books?

I'm looking for a younger player with some NHL games under his belt and a prospect/pick? What're you thinking about Brown?

Something along the lines of one of Sedlak/Karlsson/Anderson plus a pick for Pearson and Brown (2 million retained)? I'd have to discuss it with matt59 first but this would be the general idea.

How about Karlsson, Hartnell (Or Stempniak,) and a 4th for Pearson and Brown? Add Hartnell to even out money some so I don't have to retain
